Oh, Snap!

This year I decided to level up on the volume of flowers that I’m growing. This led to a wholesale account and I am now buying my flower seeds in bulk.

My first seed purchase of the season was Chantilly Lace Snapdragons. I bought a packet containing 1000 seeds. November Jessica thought “There is no way I’ll plant all of these snapdragons. I’m sure they’ll last me a couple of years.” January Jessica got a little overzealous and planted all of them…..I can confirm the germination rate was 88% as noted on the packet.

So now, I’ve got snapdragons for days. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I need to find places for all of them because I hadn’t really planned for this many snapdragons. Although to be honest, I’ve kept my flower “plans” a little loose this year because I enjoy the results of haphazard plantings.

I’ve filled one 25 ft bed with nothing but snaps, and 5 feet of another bed. I have about 500 or so more to plant. I’m sure it will all work out. Time will tell.
