What’s Blooming?

Now that Spring has arrived, things are really starting to bloom on the farm! Here’s a look at a few things that are in bloom right now.

Anemones

This year, I planted Bordeaux (red), Blue, and Pink Anemone. The bright colors have definitely brightened my day and have been quite popular in the farm stand.

Narcissus

I added several varieties of daffodils to the bulbs that were already growing here when we arrived. Some of the known varieties are Trevithian, Dutch Master, Pink Charm, and Mount Hood. It also seems like a few surprises pop up that I have never seen before each year. I’ve so enjoyed seeing these bright blooms , that I’ve already invested in a huge bulb order that will arrive in the fall.

Ranunculus

Despite the best efforts of the resident field mice, I have several varieties of ranunculus that are just about to bloom. So far, it’s the red ranunculus that are beginning to put on a show.
